A study just released by Harvard researchers indicates that acid suppressing drugs increase the risk of pneumonia in hospitalized patients by 30%. It has been well established that these drugs alter the normal healthy bacteria levels in the gut, thereby inhibiting the body's ability to absorb certain nutrients and vitamins. However, this is the first study to suggest that these drugs alter the normal bacteria in the respiratory tract as well. | Soda Without High Fructose Corn Syrup |

High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) gunks up our mitochondria, which are responsible for making energy. It also interferes with the hormone leptin, which fools our body into thinking we are always hungry. It is hard to maintain a healthy weight if leptin is screwed up or high fructose corn syrup is a part of your diet. Although I am not a fan of soda, many people have a tough time eliminating soft drinks from their diet completely. For these folks, a few healthier options are available.
Remember to check the ingredients of any processed foods and choose a brand free of HFCS. Think ketchup and salad dressings for starters. Annies' makes a great ketchup and is available in natural food stores and some large chains. Colleen Hauser and her 13 year old son, Daniel, have been forced on the run after a judge ordered mandatory chemotherapy to treat his Hodgkin's lymphoma. Daniel's mother has been accused of medical neglect and has an arrest warrant issued for her because she prefers natural remedies and prayer to toxic chemotherapy. Hauser, a Roman Catholic, denounces aggressive medical treatment stating it is against the family's religious beliefs. Not surprisingly, large media outlets have ignored the defense's testimony. Defense testimony of Dr. Helen Healy, ND, explained the naturopathic medicine approach to cancer without chemotherapy and her experience working with people both who use chemotherapy and who refuse it, to address their cancer concerns." Regardless of our personal beliefs about which treatment approach may be superior, we need to insure that our healthcare freedom is not eroded in the USA. The green tea ITSELF is a wonderful health food. Absolutely great for anti-inflammatory purposes, including arthritis, and many others. What I am refering to is the CONTAMINATION of green tea. And you are right, nobody else is talking about it! This is cutting edge stuff. If you look it up the original scientific studies in www.pubmed.gov you will find clarification, however, I had to pay a scientist(with donated money from a foundation) to conduct my own test of common brands to find a brand of green tea with a lower concentration of fluoride so that I could still have an occasional cup of green tea for its amazing health benefits!
